For this week we designed, in solidworks, the space craft that will be providing materials to orbit for the construction of the SGSR. We modeled the design after experimental military aircraft and based the overall principles of the design on the ELEO method for entry into space. This entails the use of a long track that supports the craft through magnetic leviatation (Mag-Lev). The track would allow the craft to reach escape velocities, as it rocketed in a line tengential to the surface of the earth, somewhere near the equator. We also made an animation of the craft taking off from the track as it blasts off into space. Furthermore we worked on the film, compiling the first two minutes of the screenplay. The audio track and narration are missing, and some of the titles and visuals need to be revised. We will continue to work on this draft. We uploaded the film unto YouTube? and are awaiting approval. We will also put the takeoff video on youtube, but it will most likely become part of the film itself.
