Cyborg Habitat
Deliverables
An electronic newspaper that includes:
- an advertisement for the Cyborg Habitat (3D model/specifications/design)
- a news article that covers the Cyborg Habitat
- opposing view editorials discussing the implications of the Cyborg Habitat
The following is a list of tasks that needs to be completed:
Week 6:
Decide on the details of the implanted cybernetics.
Determine the self-replicating mechanism of the cybernetics implanted inside living tissues. This requires further research on self-replicating nanobots. Consider the compatibility of the mechanical parts with the living parts.
Week 7:
The featured aspect of the Cyborg Habitat would be its rapid adaptability to different environments. How would the incorporation of mechanical/electronic parts into living organisms achieve that? What parts of existing organisms would the Cyborg consist of to allow for its adaptability and flexibility? The cyborg must be land/water/air compatible.
Week 8:
A method of controlling the functions and the behaviors of the Cyborg is required. Establish a method of communication between humans and the Cyborgs.
Determine how the Habitat would power itself.
Determine the reproduction mechanism of the Cyborgs, for the Cyborg itself is the self-replicating habitat. This includes a research on the biological reproduction process. Is the cyborg going to have a uterus or will it lay eggs like birds?
Week 9:
Compile all the research and work of the previous weeks. Layout the design and specifications of the Cyborg. How would the Cyborg habitat look like?
Begin preparation for the final presentation. Get familiarized with Maya Software
Week 10
Begin the construction of a 3D model that is to be included in the advertisement on Maya.
Week 11
Finish constructing the 3D model that is to be included in the advertisement on Maya.
Begin writing the newspaper article
Week 13
Explore the social/moral implication of the Cyborg Habitats. Write the editorials discussing such implications.
Week 14
Finish writing the newspaper article and the editorial.
